| This isn't just a great book for Christians. Anyone should be able to appreciate these comparisons made between today's world and the days of the Bible. This author definitely made me start looking at my own life in a new light. I'll never see the world or the Bible in the same way after reading this. | |

| This is the third Max Lucado book I have been gifted with. I read The Applause of Heaven a few years ago, and we own a few of the children's books Lucado has written. Cast of Characters was released last fall and contains portions of his previous writings. Lucado takes a brief look at a few dozen different men and women of God. It was simple enough that I was able to read parts of the book to my then six year old. Lucado has quite an imagination, and the creative writer in him takes some major liberties as he tells the stories of the people of the Bible. | |
